US senator and social reformer Bernie Sanders has vowed to do everything in his power to block president-elect Donald Trump's agenda.
The Vermont native who lost out to Hillary Clinton in the race to become the Democratic candidate for President released a statement on his Facebook page saying:
"Donald Trump tapped into the anger of a declining middle class that is sick and tired of the establishment economics, establishment politics and the establishment media"
"To the degree (Mr Trump) pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environmental policies, we will vigorously oppose him."
He did however say that he would be prepared to work with Mr Trump if he was "serious" about improving the lives of working families.
Mr Sanders' post has gone viral, gathering over 30,000 shares in 30 minutes.
