A high-ranking Texas commissioner has described Hillary Clinton as a c*** in a tweet from his personal account.
The tweet from Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller showed the results of a presidential poll in the state of Pennsylvania, that stated Republican nominee Donald Trump was leading Democrat nominee Ms Clinton (or in this case "c***") by 44 to 43.
The tweet was deleted within 15 minutes of it being posted.
A spokesman for Mr Miller told local media he thought the commissioner's Twitter account had probably been hacked.
Mr Miller is one of Mr Trump's most vocal supporters in Texas, and sits on the Agriculture Advisory Committee that Mr Trump runs.
