New Zealand police dog handlers have proven their "pawsome" skills, winning the Australasian police trials after an intense six-day competition.
Whakatane Senior Constable Dave Robison and his dog Isaac won the individual patrol dog category in the competition in Melbourne.
Auckland Senior Constable Owen Davies and his dog Quid were runners up in that category but took home the top searching award.
Senior Constable Phillip (Tiny) Taylor and his dog Murphy faced tough opposition in the narcotic detector dog event.
It's the seventh time New Zealand has won the competition, missing out only once.
