Newshub political editor Patrick Gower has met perhaps Barack Obama's biggest fan.

In Florida, as Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton face off in battle for the key swing state, Gower met a supporter of Ms Clinton's who'd rather spend another eight years living under the Obama administration.

"If you had to choose between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, who would you choose?" Gower asked the Miami woman, wearing a sticker declaring her support for the Democratic nominee.

"Barack. I'd vote for him right now," she tells him, leaning right into the microphone.

"Are you sad that he can't stand again?" asks Gower.

"Obama," she repeats, holding out one finger for Mr Obama, and the other for Ms Clinton - then pointing the former to the sky.

"He's great, he's great," she tells Gower, leaning in for a hug and an intimate tête-à-tête.

"I think he's the best, and I think he'd bring back integrity, and I think he'd bring back values and I think he'd bring back caring. I think he is never to be made again."

Mr Obama is in Florida to campaign for Ms Clinton, whom he beat eight years to become the Democrat nominee and eventually President.

Ms Clinton eventually served four years as his Secretary of State, before making an historic and successful run for the Democratic nomination earlier this year.
