Four people have been shot, two of them fatally, at Black Friday sales in the US.

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed outside a mall in Mays Landing, New Jersey. His brother was injured in the attack, which happened in the parking lot next to a Macy's store, reports New York Daily News.

In Reno, a shopper was gunned down outside a Walmart just after doors opened. He was fighting with another shopper over a parking space.

A man in Tennessee was wounded when shots were fired outside a mall in Memphis.

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the US, is the traditional beginning of the Christmas shopping rush. Many stores hold sales, but turnover in the US has declined in recent years as shoppers go online - snapping up bargains on the following Cyber Monday.
