A man has been killed a 15-year-old girl's party, which was attended by thousands after an invitation video for it went viral on social media.
Local media say the man died after stepping in front of a horse that was taking part in a race at the event in northern Mexico. Another man was injured in the incident.
Rubi Ibarra's coming-of-age quinceañera party gained international attention in early December after her father posted a video to Facebook where he inadvertently invited "everyone".
The video was later deleted but had already been shared on YouTube and viewed millions of times.
It sparked parodies by musical stars, memes and offers of sponsorships by companies. Mexican airline Interjet even offered discounts on flights to San Luis Potosi, with a slogan saying: "Are you going to Rubi's party?"
Ms Ibarra looked overwhelmed as she arrived at her bash, as family members helped her through hoards of reporters and photographers. A large billboard saying "welcome to my 15th birthday party" towered over a large field, decorated accordingly.
More than 10,000 people attended the event, which resembled an outdoor concert with Ms Ibarra standing on a stage at the front.
