The Shire of Moora in Western Australia has become an online hit after posting a drone video of a road being built.

It may sound mundane but the sped-up precision of the road workers is impressive.

The internet loves it too: The clip has more than 14 million views and nearly 90,000 likes on Facebook.

It's also helped build the Shire's fan base, its Facebook page now has 59,000 likes - far more than other shires in the area.

The road is part of a $443,000 upgrade to Airstrip Road on the outskirts of the town.

They completed 4.9km of road over two days and online users are impressed at the team's efficiency.

"If you saw the incredible distance of the roads in outback Australia, you would understand the need for speed. Well done Moora Shire," one user commented.

"Whatever these guys are getting paid they deserve a 50% pay rise and a good bonus. Real world, with real hard working people. I'm totally impressed. Respect to all the contractors," wrote another.
