A 69-year-old cab driver is being investigated after deliberately ramming into other cars outside a shopping mall in Singapore on Saturday (local time).

On the 'Roads.sg' Facebook page, a group dedicated to "bringing awareness and positive change to our road community", a user uploaded the video of the car "going absolutely bonkers in broad daylight".

In the video, the cab driver can be seen repeatedly reversing and driving into parked cars on Old Airport Rd.

Police were called to the scene and escorted the man away to "assist with police investigations", according to a statement.

There is no word yet on the man's motivations behind the bizarre actions.

Taxi company ComfortDelGro has reached out to owners of the damaged cars, according to local news website The Straits Times.
