Elderly woman clings to pole for dear life in storm

A heart-warming clip has emerged of a British real estate agent walking a petrified 96-year-old woman home during Storm Doris.

Terrified Joanie was spotted clinging to the pole for dear life when 25-year-old Dan Barnett came to her rescue from across the street.

The 96-year-old had popped out to buy some milk and Werther's Originals when she became puffed, and started to fear she'd be swept onto the road.

The act of kindness was filmed by Mr Barnett's colleague from their office.

The bad weather dubbed 'Storm Doris' has battered the UK, with winds reaching 151 kilometres per hour.

Since the video was shared, Joanie has visited her saviour at work to deliver a box of chocolates to show her gratitude.
