Perennial party girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson has been found dead in her London home. The 45-year-old British socialite was the goddaughter and close friend of Prince Charles.
Scotland Yard told media they were called by ambulance at 1:40pm Wednesday (London time). She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, say they are "deeply saddened" and their thoughts are with the family.
Ms Palmer-Tomkinson received treatment for a brain tumour last year, but the cause of her death is being treated as unexplained.
The socialite rose to fame in the '90s. She was a columnist in the Sunday Times, a reality TV star and a regular on the London party scene.
She had a highly-publicised struggle with a cocaine addition.
