A sickening video has emerged of the moment a blissfully unaware pedestrian is body slammed by a huge runaway tyre.
According to local media reports, Roberto Carlos Fernandes was walking with his wife in Ipatinga, Brazil, when the freak accident occurred.
The footage shows the tyre bouncing away from an unseen vehicle, before slamming into the man.
The impact of the tyre cause Mr Fernandes to be thrown face-first into the ground.
He survived the accident, but was left with a fractured head and chest. He is currently recovering from his injuries in hospital.
