Donald Trump's request for softer towels on Air Force One and shorter briefing notes has been leaked by White House staff.

The US President has reportedly complained about the state of towels, according to The Huffington Post, as well as asking for shorter written notes from his advisers.

Mr Trump has reportedly asked for all his briefing materials to be condensed into a single page of no more than nine bullet points per sheet.

Mr Trump's team were alarmed by his conduct after he asked for economic advice from National Security Advisor General Mike Flynn - who has no background in economics whatsoever, The Huffington Post reports.

He told Mr Trump he couldn't answer his questions because it was outside his expertise and advised he speak to an economist instead.

Earlier this week, Mr Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer had to deny reports from a New York Times article that said Mr Trump retires upstairs to his bathrobe at 6:30pm "to recharge, vent and intermittently use Twitter".
