'Bendy' skyscraper could be longest in world
The proposed 'Big Bend' is designed in a U-shape (Oiio Studio)

An architecture firm is planning to create the longest building in the world - by making it bendy.

Instead of being straight, the proposed 1523-metre-long 'Big Bend' is designed in a U-shape.

Oiio Studio is considering the tower for Manhattan's Billionaire's Row, where space is a premium.

"If we manage to bend our structure instead of bending the zoning rules of New York, we would be able to create one of the most prestigious buildings in Manhattan," Oiio Studio's building proposal reads.

If successful, the Big Bend would be 389.5 metres longer than the current longest building in the world - the Burj Khalifa.

However, at this stage the tower is just an idea. Oiio Studio is currently seeking the money to fund the construction of the massive building.
