A 74-year-old fugitive accused of ruining six copies of Kim Kardashian's book Selfish has been arrested - after months on the run.

On October 13 last year, elderly man Carl Puia allegedly spilled "red liquid" over the books at a store in Glastonbury, local police said on Facebook.

"He also left a lengthy note (that he took the time to type out) explaining his dislike of Ms Kardashian and people like her," they explained.

He was arrested last week, and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree.

"Six copies of the books were destroyed in the massacre and could not be revived," police said.

Followers of the Glastonbury police on Facebook welcomed the man's actions.

"He did the world a great service," wrote one.

"Can anyone blame this man?" said another.

"A 74-year-old man? Why does he even known who Kim is?" questioned a third.

Selfish is a collection of selfies taken by the reality TV star, including nude shots.
