A barber in the United Kingdom is facing a severe backlash after posting footage of a dead teenage boy having his hair cut without his parents' permission.

Cameron Chadwick, 15, died on February  7 after his moped crashed into a lamp post in Wigan, Manchester.

A local hairdresser at Mo's Barbers had been asked by Cameron's grieving parents to cut his hair before the funeral.

However, they weren't aware a friend of the barber filmed the cut as Cameron lay in his coffin and later posted it to Facebook, The Sun reported.

The footage was branded "absolutely deplorable" and "disgusting" by Cameron's parents. Social media users took to Mo’s Barbers Facebook page to express their outrage.

The barber posted a status apologising profusely for the incident. The person who filmed the video was referred to as "an ex friend" who is now "banned from our shop".

The video has since been taken down.
