Police win out after lengthy, high-speed cow chase

  • 04/03/2017

Helicopter footage has captured some of the best moments of a police chase involving dozens of cows that had escaped from a cattle truck that'd flipped on a Kansas motorway.

The cows bolted from the truck out of fear for their lives, and a number of startled locals captured videos of them running down busy roads and through private property.

The chase took nearly four hours to get under control, with police first struggling to locate the cows, who had scattered all over suburb of Lenexa, and then finding it difficult to bring them to a stop.

Footage filmed from the helicopter shows at least four police cars attempting to surround a pair of cattle, with the duo somehow sprinting away, along a ridge while flanked by another cop.

They were eventually all rounded up on Friday night (local time).
