Russia's Kambalny volcano has erupted for the first time in 250 years.
New video shows the volcano spewing ash up to 7000 metres high.
Experts believe the threat has already passed, however tourists are being warned to stay away and an aviation warning remains in place.
Volcanic researchers were 'genuinely amazed' by the renewed activity.
The last time Kambalny erupted was during the reign of "Catherine The Great" in 1769.
