Woman confronts Sean Spicer in Apple Store

When a woman accosted White House press secretary Sean Spicer in an Apple store on Saturday (local time), the only response he had was a racist comment.

Shree Chauhan livestreamed her questioning Mr Spicer on Periscope, after bumping into him at the store in Washington, DC.

She repeatedly berated him for "working for a fascist", asking him how he felt.

"Have you helped with the Russia stuff? Are you a criminal as well? Have you committed treason too, just like the President? Have you committed treason too, what can you tell me about Russia?" she asked.

Mr Spicer replied: "Such a great country that allows you to be here."

Ms Chauhan, who is a person of colour and of Indian descent, called his response "utterly damning" on Twitter.

In the video Mr Spicer can be seen trying to ignore Ms Chauhan, turning to talk to another man, after his comment.

"How do you feel about destroying our country, Sean? How do you feel about that? Do you feel good about the decisions you're making?" she asked as he began to walk out the store.

After the confrontation, Ms Chauhan shared the Periscope video on her Twitter account.

She said there was no reaction from the Apple store staff, who remained "very friendly and nice" to both her and Mr Spicer.

"My intent was you stand up to fascists any opportunity you get," she tweeted.
