A rookie thief made a quick getaway in completely the wrong direction after snatching a phone in China.
Surveillance footage from the Guangdong Province earlier this month shows the man a snatching a phone out of a woman's pocket before 'fleeing' straight into a police station and into the arms of the law.
The woman, who tried to chase him but tripped over, then points him out to an police officer who pops out to check on the commotion.
The thief is promptly detained.
