Doctors have successfully repaired the penis of a 42-year-old man who broke his penis during sex.
Mr Dai, from Nanming city in China, says he heard a cracking sound while having intercourse with his partner on the night of April 8 (local time), The Daily Mail reported.
The unfortunate Mr Dai was rushed to hospital with symptoms of 'eggplant deformity' with swelling, pain and dark purple bruising. That's when the penis is bent at an odd angle and swells up like an eggplant.
Dai was diagnosed with a penile fracture after tearing a sponge-like erectile tissue called corpora cavernosa.
Doctors performed an operation on him and successfully repaired his penis, according to local media.
Blood flows into corpora cavernosa that runs along the penis and making it hard during an erection.
Mr Dai is now recovering in hospital.
Last month an Irishman underwent surgery after firefighters had to use an angle grinder to cut a metal ring off his penis.
