US President Donald Trump is notorious for having a quick trigger on Twitter, often bursting out into tweet storms in the wee hours of the morning.
However he seems to have jumped the gun with his latest tweet.
It begins like so many other messages from Mr Trump: berating the media.
But it's not any old tweet. Instead, it rambles off into an incomprehensible word, halfway through the message.
"Despite the constant negative press covfefe," Mr Trump wrote.
"You OK, Donald?" US media company Fusion tweeted in response.
The tweet was later deleted and Mr Trump shared a new post, saying: "Who can figure out the true meaning of "covfefe" ??? Enjoy!"
"Covefefe" has since gone viral, shooting to the top of Twitter's trending charts.
And with all viral blunders, there are memes a-plenty.
UPDATE: Six hours later, Mr Trump has finally responded to the confusion.
"Who can figure out the true meaning of 'covfefe' ??? Enjoy!" he tweeted.
But it hasn't stopped his followers from sharing their theories as to what happened, ranging from him falling asleep mid-tweet and only just now waking up, to his fingers being too small to hit all the letters on the phone's keyboard.
