A boy in Istanbul has ended up in hospital after a McDonald's worker poured boiling water on him because he was "disturbing customers".
The woman threw a cup of boiling water on the boy's neck at the fast food restaurant in the suburb of Nisantasi.
A customer rushed to help the boy as welts appeared on his skin.
In video from Turkish broadcaster Bursa Hakimiyet, the boy is seen being escorted into a police van.
The McDonald's staff member was also taken to the local police station to make a statement.
McDonald's has since confirmed the "unfortunate events" in a statement, and says the worker has been fired.
A similar incident happened in 2015 at an Istanbul Burger King, when the manager of the branch beat a young Syrian boy who had left chips on a tray.
