The first images from inside the burned-out Grenfell Tower in London have emerged.
Twitter user Declan Wilkes uploaded photographs showing the charred remains of household appliances and other possessions late on Thursday night (NZ time).
UK media confirmed they were taken from inside the tower where many lost their lives in a blazing inferno earlier this week.
The death toll so far is 17, but could end up in the hundreds as authorities search the hollowed-out building, which residents had long-feared was a serious fire risk.
