Mother, daughter bashed over 'cold' fried chicken in Georgia

A mother and daughter suffered broken bones and black eyes after being brutally attacked at their family restaurant in the US when two customers complained that their fried chicken was cold.

The fight started outside the Georgia restaurant when two assailants attacked owner Jeanette Norris, breaking her nose. When her 15-year-old daughter tried to help her mum, the male assailant punched her in the face, giving her a concussion, WTOC reports.

Local sheriff Chief James Godfrey said the attack at the Qwik Chick take-out was "pure brutality" and he had never seen anything like it in his career.

Ms Norris told WTOC that the pair had complained their meals weren't good enough - not only the temperatrue of their chicken, but also the amount of fries. She refunded their money, but says the woman suddenly "lost it". When Ms Norris told them she would call the police, the assailants launched the attack.

Police are still looking for the pair, who will face charges of aggravated battery.

On Facebook, Ms Norris said that she was concerned for her daughter and the punch "could've killed her".

The local community has rallied around the family restaurant as Ms Norris asked for help in bringing the "scumbags" to justice.
