Giant inflatable chicken graces the White House

A giant chicken resembling President Donald Trump has graced the White House back lawn this week.

The angry-looking figure, depicted with golden-orange hair and Trump-like gestures, is the work of documentary filmmaker and organiser, Taran Singh Brar.

Mr Brar told the Washington Examiner he received his permit on Monday from the US National Park Services, essentially badgering them until his permit was granted. He then inflated the chicken around 10am the next day.

"We are out here to criticise our president for being weak and ineffective as a leader and being too afraid to release his tax returns, too afraid to stand up to Putin and now engaged in a game of chicken with Kim Jong-un," Mr Brar said. "Yet he wants a military parade in DC. It's all incongruous, and we are here to make fun of him for that."

The 10-foot-tall inflatable chicken is now available for purchase on eBay for US$500.
