Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a tumble at the weekend while trying to clamber into a kayak- and unfortunately for him, national media were on hand to capture the clumsy caper.
Trying to board the kayak at the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, pictures later tweeted by Mr Trudeau and the Canadian press show the leader flailing, but keeping his head above water.
"I'm just happy the national media was there to capture that," the Canadian Prime Minister joked to CTV News.
Able to see the humour in the bail-out, he later tweeted about "making a splash."
Adding to the photo-op following the dip, a bride and groom sailed up beside his kayak and posed for selfies.
In one picture, tweeted by Mr Trudeau's official photographer Adam Scotti, the Canadian leader leaned over to kiss the bride on the cheek.
