A Pennsylvania teacher died last Monday (local time) when she laughed so hard she fell off a rooftop balcony.
Sharon Regoli Ciferno was holidaying in Mexico with her daughter when she sat on the balcony's ledge.
She began laughing very hard and when she leaned her head back she lost her balance and fell backwards.
Alcohol was not a factor.
Her brother, David Regoli, said she suffered multiple injuries to her body and brain and passed away "from the horrific trauma from her fall".
"She died very peacefully with her husband John and her children as well as my parents and me holding her hands and praying over her. Now we need prayers of strength to come to grips with our loss," he wrote in a Facebook post.
