Kellogg's changes 'racist' packaging after Twitter complaint

  • 27/10/2017

Kellogg's has apologised after being called out for what one twitter user described as racist packaging.

Marvel comic writer Saladin Ahmad tweeted: "Hey @KelloggsUS why is literally the only brown corn pop on the whole cereal box the janitor? this is teaching kids racism."

Ahmad didn't expect the response he got.

Kellogg's replied with an apology, saying it didn't mean to offend and the packaging was to be "updated and in stores soon".

Ahmad tweeted back: "today I used the computer in my pocket to get a cereal company to make their boxes less racist what even is the 21st century."
