An ambulance service in the United Kingdom has been left baffled after receiving a rather puzzling note on Friday morning.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) crew were helping an "extremely unwell" man when they found the note stuck to their vehicle window, with the author complaining of the van's "stupid" park which blocked his drive.

"You may be saving lives," the note read, "but don't park your van in a stupid place and block my drive."

The WMAS took to Twitter to post an image of the complainant's note, aptly prefixed with the caption: "Sometimes we just don't know what to say."

The WMAS was quick to make their position clear with the simple hashtag: #patientscomefirst
