Man accidently sends mum very inappropriate picture of his girlfriend

A man in the US has learned the hard way to be wary of impulse-posting pictures online, much to the delight of social media.

Maison Vallance, 22, sent his mother the photo and and posted it to Twitter.

The picture seems innocuous at first glance - his girlfriend curled up in bed wearing one of his shirts; however it wasn't long before one of Mr Vallance's friends pointed out something in the background others probably shouldn't see.

"I'm going to regret this as soon as I ask, but the ropes...?" commented Brooke Tussy.

Mr Vallance quickly owned up to his error, reposting his photo to Twitter with the caption: "OK just realised I sent this to my mom with the ropes still attached to my headboard..."

The post quickly garnered over 50,000 retweets and 200,000 likes, with one user even offering the cheeky advice: "Bruh, say you're setting up a hammock, works every time."

Luckily, everyone responded with good humour to the cringeworthy debacle. Mr Vallance told Indy100 that when he told his mother, she found it 'hilarious'.

"She gave me a funny look then laughed! She thought it was hilarious."

Even Mr Vallance's girlfriend reportedly saw the funny side.

"My girlfriend was embarrassed at first but then embraced it."
