Panda mum's rough justice for her baby

Ueno Zoo's six-month-old panda cub, Xiang Xiang, may be rethinking her actions, after some swift punishment from her mother.

Video taken inside the zoo shows Xiang Xiang escaping from mother Shin Shin's clutches, and being quickly grabbed by her head and dragged back into her indoor quarters.

Japan Times reports Xiang Xiang is the first surviving panda cub born in Ueno Zoo since 1988 and has been widely followed, after the zoo posted updates on the cub's growth on social media.

Xiang Xiang was the first panda conceived naturally at the zoo and staff members hope to continue the trend with her parents for more cubs.
