Toddler in Sydney kicked in the face during random attack

A three-year old toddler had to be taken to a Sydney hospital after being kicked in the face during a random attack.

The boy was in a stroller when the senseless attack happened on King Street in the CBD.

News.com.au reported the alleged assault took place at around 11.30pm on Friday, when the boy’s mother and father were approached by a man.

The stranger made repeated demands of the man and woman, before allegedly kicking the toddler in the face and fleeing the scene

The boy’s father tried to chase the man but lost sight of him.

The boy suffered a cut lip and facial swelling and was taken to Sydney’s Eye Hospital for treatment.

News.com.au reported Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command arrived at King Street soon after and searched for the man.

He was in Martin Place at around 12:45am after security guards called police about his erratic behaviour. He was later charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
