Video: Truck slams into braking car - who's at fault?

  • 11/12/2017

People are divided over who's at fault after a truck drove into the back of a braking car.

Dashcam footage from the truck captured the incident on a motorway in Perth, Western Australia. A hatchback can be seen changing lanes in front of the truck, before braking abruptly.

The truck driver can be heard yelling "What the f*** are you doing?" and repeatedly sounding the horn. The truck then slams into the back of the car, sending it careening off into the side of another truck in an adjacent lane.

The video was uploaded to the Facebook page 'Dash Cam Owners Australia', with the caption "This is what its [sic] like driving a truck in Perth. People do really dumb things."

The caption also mentioned that the driver of the braking car was not injured.

Facebook users were divided over whose fault the incident was.

"Those who say it's the truck [sic] fault. Please hand in your licence," wrote one passionate user.

"As soon as he saw brake lights he could've at least slowed down a little," said another.
