Fancy a suitcase that actually follows you around - no need to pull it along?

They're just one part of this year's annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) being held in Las Vegas - an event that showcases the latest and coolest in hi-tech consumer desirables.

One of the most popular exhibits was the "Ujet", a foldable, road-legal scooter that fits easily into a car boot.

Samsung also unveiled "The Wall", a 146-inch ultra-high definition display television.

The expo is an opportunity for tech companies to showcase experimental prototypes that may be years away from actually hitting the shelves.

LG experienced the downside of this first hand, when a home robot they were showcasing refused to respond to commands while on stage.

The event runs from January 9-12 and attracts almost 200,000 visitors from all over the world.
