South Carolina police were left shocked after they saw a kangaroo frolicking on a rural highway.
Officers at McCormick County Sheriff's Office were dispatched after receiving reports of the rogue animal on a highway on May 15.
They thought the call out was a joke at first and posted a picture of the unusual experience on Facebook, 7 News reports.
"When you get dispatched to an animal in the road and this is what you find," the post caption read.
The kangaroo had escaped from his owner's pen and was reunited with his owner later in the morning, officers said.
