Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be weeks away from marrying, but memorabilia including a silver coin depicting them at Kensington Palace is already going on sale.

The Royal Mint, a government-owned company that produces coins for the United Kingdom, was granted access to the couple at Kensington Palace shortly after their engagement was announced.

Royal Mint chief executive Anne Jessopp said the couple are depicted "looking lovingly into each other's eyes," showing "the easy familiarity and connection between the royal duo," Sky News reported.

Three versions of the coin are available: an uncirculated coin selling for £13 (NZ$25), a silver proof coin valued at £82.50 (NZ$160), and a gold proof coin priced at £1980 (NZ$3845).

Other memorabilia celebrating the couple include a china collection set to be sold at the Queen's Gallery Shop at Buckingham Palace.

Prince Harry will wed former Suits actress Meghan Markle on 19 May at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The couple have been seeing each other for 16 months.

This is the second time Prince Harry has featured on a royal coin. For his 21st birthday in 2005, the Royal Mint featured his face on an Alderney coin.
