A man has died in a single vehicle crash in Opunake this morning after it left the road and crashed into a stream.
Police and emergency services are at the scene on Wiremu Rd and serious crash investigators are on the way.
Ambulance staff were the first on scene around 6:50am and found a man dead inside the car.
The man's name will be made public once formal identification has been completed and his family have been told.
