Police have located and arrested Patrick Dixon in relation to the shooting of a police patrol car in Manurewa on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old was arrested after search warrants were conducted at a Cambridge address by Waikato police and armed offenders staff.
Dixon has been charged with two counts of using a firearm against a law enforcement officer and will appear in Manukau District Court this morning.
He will also appear for a string of unrelated charges.
