Armed police have cordoned off Laurie Ave in Papakura, South Auckland today after a 30-year-old man showed up at a police station with a gunshot wound.
The man arrived at the police station seeking help at around 3:45pm.
He has now been taken to Middlemore Hospital with a serious leg injury.
The armed offenders squad and police Eagle staff are investigating.
