Police are looking for links between an arson at a gang-owned Horowhenua property and the disappearance of the gang's associate.

An investigation at Hokio Beach, believed to be owned by a number of Nomad gang members, is expected to be finished by the end of the week.

The fire is believed to have taken place in late March.
