From April 1, there will be new rules around who can get paid parental leave and how long they can get it for.

They're changes which were announced in the Government's Budget in 2014 and increase paid parental leave from 14 to 18 weeks.

The Government says it better reflects current work and family arrangements and gives more flexibility.
