They're the men of the hour, the first in the world to win back-to-back Rugby World Cup titles, and they've finally come home.

The All Blacks arrived at Auckland International Airport around 7am today to a big turnout.

But that wasn't the official place to welcome them home. Aucklanders will get the chance to see the Cup and the team in the flesh in an event at Victoria Park at about 12pm.

The team will be having a quick pit stop overnight before heading to Christchurch tomorrow – where they will be welcomed by a street parade, which begins at the corner of Rolleston Ave and Hereford St, then continues along Rolleston Ave and Park Tce and concludes before the Bealey Ave intersection. This is followed by an official reception at Hagley Park.

On Friday they're heading for Wellington. Wellington City Council are still to release full details, but there will be brief welcome for the team at Parliament grounds at 11.30am. The parade is expected to start just before midday and and will head along the Golden Mile to a major welcome in Civic Square.
