Train services at Auckland's Britomart were disrupted for 20 minutes last night after a brawl involving up to 70 youths on a platform. Many of them had been at Christmas in the Park and the Ragamuffin music festival.

Police were called but no one was arrested.

Earlier there had been pushing, shoving and punching. A Facebook post claims those involved were Bloods and Crips gang members.

The standoff lasted about five minutes, despite the best efforts of 15 security guards and Maori wardens.

No one was injured, and, even though the police showed up, no one was arrested. Just as quickly as it started, it was over.

3 News can confirm the brawl started near the McDonald's. Some of the group had been at Christmas in the Park and at the Ragamuffin music festival and were heading home.

The brawl is a big talking point at Britomart Station, but no one would or could talk. And if you look around, there is no sign of any damage; it's as if the brawl never happened.

Trains were running on time, everything on track – a far cry from the mayhem last night.
