Police have confirmed a body has been recovered from the Waitemata Harbour shortly after 1pm today, near the Auckland Ports.
Police are working to identify the body and locate next-of-kin, so are unable to give more details.
They have been searching for the body of Mandeep Singh in the area since he went missing a week ago after a night clubbing.
Police are not treating Singh's disappearance as suspicious, and can confirm he was seen alone on a pier in Queens Wharf just after 4am last Sunday.
The matter has now been referred to the coroner.
Mr Singh is a culinary arts student from India. He was with his flatmates early Sunday morning before he was kicked out of bar Bungalow 8 for being too intoxicated and lost contact with his flatmates.
