Police have found nothing suspicious at the Horowhenua District Council building following a bomb scare earlier today.
The cordon put in around the building is still in place, but will come down shortly.
Police received an anonymous call about 1:50pm saying a "bomb was going to go off" at the building in 30 minutes.
The building was evacuated as a result. Police were unable to trace the call.
A specialist police search team and explosives detector dog searched the building, but no suspicious items were found and the building declared safe at 3:50pm.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the Levin police station on (06) 366 0500.
