A bus has become stuck on a hilly Wellington street, completely blocking the road.
The mishap on Devon Street in Aro Valley happened after the vehicle's wheels lost traction. No passengers were aboard the bus at the time.
A crane is now required to move the bus, and the road will be closed for at least the next few hours. At this stage authorities plan to free it by dragging it backwards up Devon Street.
During that time, traffic will not be able to enter Devon Street from Fairlie Terrace or Aro Street.
Locals say heavy vehicles have become stuck on the corner several times a year, with the last case being a truck which jammed in October.
