Emergency services are on the scene of a serious crash between two vehicles in rural Canterbury.
The accident happened at the intersection of Dawson's and Maddisons Rd near Templeton, just before 2.30pm on Friday.
Emergency services said one occupant in each vehicle was trapped. One person is believed to be in a critical condition while the other has serious injuries.
Police say diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
