Five people were in a car that slipped over a bank on the Kapiti Coast, but no one was hurt.
Initial reports suggested the car was teetering over the bank in a precarious position, but the fire service has confirmed to Newshub that was not the case.
The car slipped two metres down a bank in an urban area. By the time emergency services arrived, four of the people had safely exited the vehicle.
There was no imminent danger.
