Dairy owners want Govt to train security guards

The New Zealand Association of Dairies, Groceries and Small Businesses (NZADGSB) wants more security and protection for dairy owners.

In the past two months one man is suspected of committing robberies on eight different dairies in Auckland.

NZADGSB president Neil Patel says a solution may be training up more security guards:

"The Government has got a lot of unemployed people. Maybe the Government should put those people into training under the grocery store owners, they can provide security."

Mr Patel says police aren't doing enough to prevent dairy robberies and assaults.
