Dunedin police have arrested a 19-year-old man for manslaughter and five other offences for a car crash in July last year.
The crash happened on the corner of Stafford St and Hope St on July 29.
A vehicle containing six people was fleeing from a petrol drive off at the BP Service Station on Cumberland St minutes before.
The driver failed to give way at the intersection resulting in a T-bone crash with a second vehicle that was driving south on Stafford St.
Three passengers received serious injuries and another passenger, an 18-year-old Invercargill woman, died at the scene.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, a 55-year-old man, received minor injuries and has been cleared of any fault.
The three injured people are recovering but still experience on-going affects as a result of their injuries.
